 Math Woes, LLC, founded in early 2017, is a math tutorial/consultant company that provides learning experiences to scholars 5th grade and up. These experiences are further broken down into personalized instructional plans, enrichment, and remediation categories, to name a few. We may also serve as an additional advocate for your scholar by actively participating in parent-teacher conferences and observations.

We started from a love and passion for math content and the desire to do more for scholars, especially those who have written off math as hard, boring, or a subject they just do not like.

The Team.

Founder

Tutorial experiences are provided by Math Woes' founder, EWo who has 3 daughters...2 in college, 1 in the workforce, and a husband in education. Together EWo and her husband dream big, helping create opportunities for their girls to understand work ethic and the path to successful futures. EWo loves to travel, shop, and create memories.

The passion burning inside EWo includes helping scholars and teachers build math confidence, math habits, and understand that math is an experience that can be learned and taught effectively across grade levels. Her ultimate dream is to open a boarding school, incorporating positive culture, technology, social justice, and entrepreneurship heavily into all content areas.

Professionally, EWo has taught mathematics in elementary, middle, and high school. She has served as Teacher of the Year and has certifications and endorsements in Elementary Education (P-5), Middle Grades Math/Science (4-8), Educational Leadership, Gifted Education, English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Online Education, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and Coaching. She is a lifelong learner.

Having worked as a veteran and certified math educator and leader in metro Atlanta, Fulton, and DeKalb public & charter schools, EWo has the experience, empathy, passion, and expertise to break poor math habits, build confidence, and ultimately create fearless and articulate mathematicians. Scholars leave her unafraid to make mistakes and are 100% capable of thinking through ANY math situation. She also assists parents in creating home systems for success.
